Every year, BURGMAIER pays tribute to its employees having an anniversary for their many years of employment in the company. In this year, 43 employees celebrated their employment anniversary only in the two German plants. On November 11, tribute was paid to 23 employees of BURGMAIER TECHNOLOGIES in Allmendingen and 8 employees of the plant BURGMAIER HIGHTECH in Laupheim in the countryside inn „Rose“ in Berg.
BURGMAIER pays tribute to employees, starting from the 10th employment anniversary in five-year intervals and invites these employees together with their spouses to a party in a familiar atmosphere. All in all, 80 guests were present at this party.
When the appetizer had been finished, Karl-Hugo Schick, managing partner, welcomed the employees having an anniversary that were present, company executives and Mr. Manfred Huber, the representative of the council of Allmendingen. In his speech, Schick mentioned that the company is above schedule in both sales and profit. In addition to the acquisition of
new important orders in the field of electric steering systems, more quotations for new products than ever were submitted in the current business year. Customers are very active in making inquiries and the types of products for which inquiries were made and quotations were submitted show that there is a trend towards a higher number of hybrid and electric vehicles. The transformation in the automotive industry created new opportunities in which Burgmaier wants to participate.
Schick praised the motivation of the employees having an anniversary and their faithfulness and loyalty to Burgmaier. Only in Allmendingen more than 40 % of the personnel have worked in the company for ten or more years. He pointed out that in this year there were two cases in which tribute could be paid to both father and son. This would show that Burgmaier is a real family business.
After the main course, the employees having an anniversary were paid tribute in personal speeches held by their department supervisors. The managing board gave every employee a certificate together with a letter of thanks as well as a gift of money as a symbol for respect. Much commendation and gratitude was expressed in the speeches and one or another funny anecdote was told.
In a familiar and merry atmosphere, all guests were given the company journal in its new design fresh from the press, and many of them read it thoroughly during the sumptuous dessert buffet.
The convivial evening ended in the early morning hours.
